This was a big gain to both local and foreign companies involved in the construction and preparation process. Generally, hosting such events translates to change of social, economic, social and political configuration of the host country. For instance, Brazil benefited politically in the sense that good intergovernmental relations was fostered. Having successfully hosted the events with no major instance of insecurity reported is a plus to Brazil.
